Aditya Agricultural Biotechnology College is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for all its students. To ensure the well-being of our students and to prevent any form of harassment or ragging, the college has established an Anti-Ragging Committee that works diligently to uphold these values.

Objective of the Anti-Ragging Committee
The primary objective of the Anti-Ragging Committee is to prevent incidents of ragging within the college campus and to address any issues that may arise in a timely and effective manner. The committee aims to:

  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all students, particularly newcomers.
  • Educate students about the legal and ethical implications of ragging.
  • Respond swiftly to any complaints or reports of ragging, taking appropriate disciplinary action.
  • Promote awareness and sensitization regarding the harmful effects of ragging on students’ mental and physical well-being.

Committee Composition
The Anti-Ragging Committee consists of faculty members, senior students, and administrative staff, who work together to monitor the campus environment and enforce anti-ragging policies. The committee also collaborates with local authorities and law enforcement agencies to ensure strict adherence to anti-ragging laws.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and Surveillance: The committee regularly monitors student activities and interactions to detect any signs of ragging and to ensure a safe atmosphere.
  • Counseling: The committee provides counseling services to students who may experience or witness ragging, ensuring that their concerns are addressed with empathy and professionalism.
  • Awareness Programs: The committee organizes seminars, workshops, and awareness campaigns to educate students about the consequences of ragging and how to prevent it.
  • Complaint Redressal: Students can file complaints with the committee confidentially, and the committee ensures that all complaints are handled with seriousness and discretion.
  • Disciplinary Action: If ragging incidents are reported and proven, the committee takes strict disciplinary action in accordance with the guidelines set by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and other regulatory bodies.
